A promise

“Climb the mountains and get their good tidings. Nature’s peace will flow into you as sunshine flows into trees. The winds will blow their own freshness into you, and the storms their energy, while cares will drop away from you like the leaves of Autumn.”
― John Muir, The Mountains of California

When I am well again, if not before, I will go to the mountains more often.

And they will happily welcome you home. Mountains have seen it all and are patient without question. Meanwhile they will just whisper to you …I said WHISPER not storm and tornado. Always going over the top just to make sure sufficient message is sent….really gorges, cliffs, ledges, and peaks…gently now

I can drive two miles from here and see the entire Front Range. I have links to webcams that blanket the same area. I can imagine the sights and sounds and smells. But none of that approaches being there. And being there, a lot more often than I have been, is why I moved here.

Yep, I’ve noticed that. My door is always open, but not one of them has come knocking.

. . . no arms . . . best they could do is bump your wall and knock it down . . .
